Market Madness Update

Welcome back, we’re going into maintenance mode at 15:00 BST for around one hour to implement one of our biggest patches yet!

If you’ve been keeping up with the WebbTech streams you’ll know that we’ve got a lot in store. Today is the first patch in a series that we’ll be rolling out over the course of the summer. We’ve got a number of new features and , of course, bug fixes for you today so please read below and let us know your feedback.

Foraging

You’ve probably seen Webb showing this one off on stream, and at long last it’s finally here. Venture into the Playa to find yourself some moon berries, hemlock, ginseng, and much more! Meet our new foraging NPCs Pip and Squeak to learn about how you can acquire some of the rarest foliage in Arcadia.

Chemistry & Buffs

With every collection, comes a production – and today we’re giving you a first look at chemistry. Use your newly honed horticulture skills to craft stims, flasks, and vials for you and your teammates. You can find the chemistry table outside Dr. Fritz’s lab, and just like our existing production tables it will require power from the DeSat City generator. We’ll be expanding on this system heavily going forward, with many more consumables and buff types to come. We also introduce a first look at buffs. These can be used in game and will help you push further than imaginable.

As we’re introducing more consumables, you’ll also find a brand new action bar slot which you can use for quick access to your most important buffs and heals.

AMM

This release, we launch our automated market maker into the bank. The AMM is a new station which will allow you to instantly trade resources with the liquidity pool. You can deposit liquidity, and earn an LP resource which denotes your share of the pool. Each time players trade using the pool, you will receive rewards. We’re also shipping limit orders so you can play the DeSat City market. We have lots of exciting features coming your way using these new stations so get trading and give us lots of feedback on this advanced system.

Raids

You’ve been asking, and we’ve been listening. For those of you who remember Season 0, we’re bringing the calendar back for some organised events on a daily schedule. Find yourself some friends and party up in groups of 4-8 to try our three new challenges:

  • The Abyssal Raid
  • Boss Rush Challenge
  • Mining Rush Challenge

The first opening of the abyssal raid will be on the 27th June 20:00 BST, and you can find the exact daily opening times of each game mode in the calendar interface accessed through the main menu. Start recruiting, and enjoy this first look at 3+ player party sizes.

Cosmetics

It’s time to talk looks – Finnley, our purveyor of curious goods and treasures, will be offering brand new cosmetic head pieces. We’ve introduced a cosmetic head piece slot in the player profile, to allow you to customise your character as you see fit without jeopardising your stats. It won’t be easy though, Finnley only accepts currencies found in the most dangerous scenarios. These cosmetics are the first iteration of what many of you will know as transmogrification. We’re starting with the head slot and we’ll see how we go from there, let us know what your thoughts are on this new system!
