The Lunar New Year comes but once a year, and it has finally arrived in Soulbound! Virelda is preparing for a grand Lunar Festival to welcome the Year of the Snake; paper lanterns and the buzz of the festivities hang in the air, eagerly awaiting a new year and new opportunities.

But no celebration is complete without the right preparations, and there’s still so much to do! The Vireldians need your help with some special tasks to make this Lunar Festival unforgettable.

Collect crops, fight off unwelcome enemies, and fish to your heart’s content – all help is welcome to help make this the best festival of the year!

And for our particularly eager Pioneers, a new quest has arrived in Virelda: complete the Daily Commission quest to earn yourself some bonus commission credits.

Fixes and improvements

  • Moved the Eastern Reach beacon into the centre of Virelda for better signposting and atmosphere
  • Moved Levi into Virelda so that early players can start selling resources
  • Added party-up zones around Virelda’s Eastern Reach beacon T1 and T2
  • Added tutorial quests for mining and foraging in Virelda to guide new players
  • Implemented a daily commission credit quest in Virelda to earn daily commission credits for initiating a dungeon run
  • New Dynamic Frame Rate: When the frame rate cap setting is set to “Auto”, if the player cannot maintain 60 fps, their frame rate will automatically be capped at 30. You will need to manually set 120fps to make use of the enhanced frame rate setting (this feels great if your CPU can handle it)
  • Added a ‘Play Again’ button on dungeons allowing you and your party to quickly re-run any dungeon
  • Change the community beds into private beds: all Homestead farming beds are now instanced. We hope this will remove toxicity around farming until we update this mechanic
  • Added automatic AI-powered chat and name moderation
  • Implemented a new pipeline for events to speed up all in-game events, notably stat changes and collective achievement events. This should improve the responsiveness of event-based targets
  • Added a new “waiting for other players” experience in dungeons. You can now see what relics/abilities other players pick and who you are waiting for
  • All mobs will now instantly explode on a killing blow, instead of showing the “hit” or “stun” animation before exploding. This makes killing mobs feel more responsive
  • Added SFX to the chest animations
  • Changed the location of the tutorial text popups so that they do not obscure other UI
  • Dungeon Entry UI will now display dungeons you have completed
  • Fixed a collider issue with the 4-chain Kusarigama
  • Prioritise closest enemies for sword swing hits
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect numbers of open messages showing for players
  • Fixed a bug resulting in missing apartments in the inventory
  • Fixed an auto-renewal issue resulting in rental lockout
  • Fixed an issue where some players were unable to redeem the Red Panda Backpack
  • Fixed the Guild Quest Reward Duplication issue
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes players could not find their items after smelting in Virelda Forge
  • Fixed an issue where generators didn’t show resources available from the bank. Resources present in the bag will be taken first before using them from the bank
  • Fixed an issue where Scrapclaw could get stuck on trees
  • Fixed an issue with crops not being able to be harvested
  • Fixed an issue where mining nodes were resetting in dungeons
  • Fixed an issue where healing pulse text numbers shown are sometimes incorrect
  • Fixed an issue where Gleam Twins were not dealing damage when the enemy was too close
  • Fixed issues related to vendors causing crashes
  • Increased stability on inventory actions
  • Fixed an issue where the player got stuck while mining in the Overworld
  • Fixed issues around mobs sometimes getting stuck in walls
  • Map: right click whilst on the zone view to change the view to the world map
  • HUD signposting for party members and activity members
  • Fixed an issue with the AMM where the number of remaining gold bond LP tokens was not updating in real-time in Clyde UI
  • NFT Furniture now stacks in Room Builder
  • Fix an issue with stats like Energy and Yoku not updating in real-time
  • Fixed an issue where players would get stuck in the dungeon, unable to move
  • Fixed a label issue where the “Kitty Cat Hoodie” was marked as headgear instead of cosmetic
  • Fixed an issue with Granny’s quests not being able to be completed
  • Fixed an issue with Farok’s missing vendor icon
  • Fixed an issue with players freezing after speaking with Pip in the dungeon for the quest “Dungeon Rescue”
