Weekly competition · Season 1

Dungeon League

Every week we pick one dungeon and one loadout: a weapon, an ability, or both. Your first 4 runs in that loadout are your rounds, and the fastest players climb from the Open Division to the Premier Division.

No sign-up needed

Everyone who plays is in. You do not need to sign in or enter anywhere.

  • Play the week’s dungeon on your own.
  • Use the week’s loadout when you go in.
  • Your character appears on the leaderboard at the next update.

Sword & Pyrosphere

Eastern Reach - Fractured Trial Fractured

Venturing deeper into the desert, the sandstorm rages harsher and the enemies more aggressive. Only a fool would go unprepared or alone.

Objective: Clear all 13 rooms and reach extraction. The clock stops the moment it is done.

This week’s loadout

  • Weapon: one-handed sword only
  • Abilities: Pyrosphere only. Unequip the rest
  • Equip The Vacan-Sealer in your toolbelt before you enter, so no random abilities are offered
  • No other ability during the run: if you pick up or use one, that run does not count
  • Everything else is up to you: armour, rings and all your other gear are allowed
  • Solo: one player only. Party runs do not count

How to take part

It takes about ten minutes a week. You play in the game as normal and we read your runs from our servers, so there is nothing to upload.

  1. Find this week’s dungeon

Open the dungeon lobby finder in game and pick the week’s dungeon. You need it unlocked.

  2. Match this week’s loadout

Equip the weapon and abilities the week asks for before you enter the dungeon. We check what you had equipped at the moment you went in.

  3. Play your 4 runs solo

Start the dungeon on your own. Your first 4 runs in the week’s loadout are your 4 rounds, in the order you play them. There are no restarts: a death or leaving early is that round’s result.

  4. Beat the Thursday deadline

Play rounds 1 and 2 before the cut on Thursday at 04:00 UTC. The top 50% go through to play rounds 3 and 4 before the week closes.

  5. Check the leaderboard

That is it: there is no sign-up. Every character that plays the week’s dungeon in the right loadout appears here automatically at the next update.

How scoring works

Your time
The clock runs only while you are inside a dungeon room. It starts when you step into the first room and stops when you extract at the end. The loading screens between rooms are not counted. Everything you do inside a room is counted, including the time you spend picking relics. Lower is better.
Your total
Your 4 round times are added together. The lowest total wins the week.
Loadout and parties
A run in a different loadout, or with a party, simply does not count. It does not use up one of your rounds.
Deaths
A round you do not finish is a DNF and counts as 60:00.0, which is 60 minutes.
The cut
After round 2, the top 50% of players and anyone tied with them make the cut. Everyone else is ranked on their first 2 rounds.
Ties
If two totals are level, the better final round wins. If those match, we compare the round before, and so on back to round 1.

Divisions and movement

Week 1 is the qualifier and sets your starting division. After that, good weeks earn you marks and bad weeks cost you marks. At +3 you move up a division, and at −5 you move down. Winning your division moves you straight up.

  1. Premier Division The best in the league
  2. Challenger Division Promote from here to the top
  3. Open Division Everyone starts here

Making the cut also clears one minus mark, and missing it clears one plus mark. Marks carry over from week to week and reset to zero when you change division.

Questions

Can I practise?

Yes. Runs in any other loadout do not count, so practise with anything you like. Once the week opens, every run in the week’s loadout counts as your next round.

What exactly is checked?

Your weapon type, your equipped abilities and any item the week asks for, such as The Vacan-Sealer in your toolbelt, as they were the moment you entered the dungeon. We also check every ability you pick up or use during the run: if the week allows one ability and you get another, that run does not count. Armour, rings and everything else are up to you unless the week says otherwise.

Why do I need The Vacan-Sealer?

Without it, the dungeon offers you random abilities as you level up during the run, and picking one up means the run does not count. Equip The Vacan-Sealer in your toolbelt before you go in and those random abilities are not offered.

Do loading screens count?

No. We add up the time you spend inside each room, as the game records it, so the loading between rooms is left out and a slower PC does not cost you. Time inside a room always counts, including picking relics and any menu you open, so choose quickly.

What if I disconnect or crash?

The run counts as it ended, which is usually a DNF. We cannot tell a disconnect from leaving, so we treat them the same for everyone.

Why solo only?

A party shares one run, so its time says as much about your team as about you. Party runs do not count for the league, but they still count in the game as normal.

When do results update?

We refresh the leaderboard during the week and publish final results after the week closes on Sunday night.

Which servers can play?

Every server. The clock measures the dungeon, not your connection to other players, so every server competes on one leaderboard.

Do I need to sign up?

No. Every character that plays the week’s dungeon solo in the right loadout is on the leaderboard automatically. Each character competes on its own, so playing on two characters puts both on the board.
