Soulbound Promotions, Prize Draws & Competitions Policy

This policy sets out the legal terms that apply to any prize draw, competition, or promotion (collectively the “Promotion”) operated by Webb Technology Limited, trading as Spiderware, the developer of Soulbound.game (“Soulbound”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By entering any Promotion, you agree to these terms.

This document is written in accordance with UK law, including the Gambling Act 2005, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, the ASA Code (CAP Code), and the Prize Promotions Guidance from the Gambling Commission.

1. Free to Enter

All Promotions hosted by Soulbound:

  • Are free to enter
  • Require no purchase or payment of any kind
  • Are based on chance, creativity, or skill, not gambling or betting

2. Eligibility

To enter a Promotion, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be a legal resident in a country where such promotions are not prohibited
  • Not be an employee, contractor, or affiliate of Spiderware

Entries may be void if:

  • Made on behalf of someone else
  • Generated by a bot or automated system
  • Offensive, defamatory, or in breach of our Content Policy

3. How to Enter

Entry requirements will be listed on the relevant Soulbound channel (website, Discord, social media, or app). This may include:

  • Completing a form
  • Posting in a specific thread
  • Participating in a live event

All Promotions will clearly state:

  • The start and end dates
  • The method of entry
  • The number and nature of prizes
  • The selection criteria (random draw or judged)

4. Prizes

  • Prizes are as described and non-transferable
  • We may substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value
  • Any physical goods will be shipped to winners within a reasonable timeframe
  • Soulbound is not responsible for customs, tax, or import duties
  • Winners are solely responsible for using digital prizes (e.g. in-game currency or items)

5. Selection & Winners

Random Prize Draws:

  • Winners will be selected randomly using a verifiable method
  • Results are final unless otherwise stated

Judged Contests:

  • Judged by a panel based on stated criteria (e.g., creativity, accuracy)
  • Judging is at our sole discretion

In-Game Competitions:

  • Winners determined by event mechanics (e.g., top scores, fastest completion)
  • Game updates or balance changes will not invalidate results unless fairness is clearly impacted

6. Winner Notification

Winners will be contacted via the method of entry (e.g. Discord DM, email, or forum post).

  • If a winner does not respond within 7 days, a replacement may be selected
  • Winners must provide any required information (e.g., name, address)
  • Winners may be required to confirm eligibility

We may publicly announce winners by Discord name, in-game username, or country, unless they opt out.

7. Publicity

Winners may be asked to participate in promotional material (e.g. livestream shoutouts, social media posts). Participation is voluntary. By entering, you grant us permission to use your Discord or in-game name in such materials unless you object.

8. Data Protection

We will only process your personal data for the administration of the Promotion and in line with our Privacy Policy. We may:

  • Share your data with fulfillment partners (only as required)
  • Retain data only as long as necessary to fulfill the prize and audit the Promotion

9. Disqualification

We reserve the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • Attempts to manipulate or cheat the Promotion
  • Acts contrary to the spirit of fair play
  • Submits offensive, abusive, or fraudulent entries

Our decision on disqualification is final.

10. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Entries lost due to technical failure or platform downtime
  • Prizes lost in transit
  • Any personal injury, loss, or damage arising from use of the prize

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law.

11. Governing Law

These Promotion terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. All disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
