Patch Update Overview

This update brings significant enhancements and exciting new additions designed to refine the overall game experience. New functionalities have been introduced that not only expand content but also integrate community-driven features and advanced system tools. Players can expect smoother interactions and clearer in-game guidance, with improvements that streamline key mechanics and boost functionality across various gameplay areas. Additionally, numerous technical adjustments and bug resolutions have been implemented to ensure a more stable, responsive, and balanced environment. Overall, this patch sets the stage for a richer and more immersive adventure for our dedicated community.

Features

  • Added a new interface with buttons to the relic selection window allowing players to reroll shop items individually as random, ability, augment, or passive upgrades, given they possess the appropriate refresher item. [TECH-7011]
  • Players who own a Season 0 emote NFT will now receive an equivalent in-game emote item linked to their NFT. [TECH-8085]
  • Implemented a new account dashboard and login flow for browser mode – you can try this at https://accounts.soulbound.game

Improvements

  • Updated in-game damage calculations to utilize new backend values with fractions instead of percentages. Adjustments ensure stats such as dodge chance, cooldown reduction, critical strike chance, and damage reduction now correctly affect gameplay and are displayed appropriately, with damage reduction gear now properly contributing up to a max reduction of 60%. [QA-2354]
  • Names of characters are now drawn above mounts, improving visibility in crowded areas. [TECH-7216]
  • Updated login screen to display ‘Create Your Character’ instead of ‘Continuous Guest’ for players to improve clarity and user experience. ‘New Game’ button is now disabled in this situation. [TECH-8202]
  • Improved in-game settings to ensure that only changes are saved, preventing potential overwriting of settings adjusted on the website. [TECH-8010]

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where players could get stuck in place if a location change request failed, allowing players to regain control after 10 seconds. [TECH-7817]
  • Fixed an issue where unprocessed data would display when using the mouse wheel click (M3) on plants, causing lag. [TECH-7823]
  • Fixed an issue where selecting the damage increase augment for the Chakram did not modify the ability’s damage as expected. [KUDOS-83]
  • Fixed a bug where the consumption timer and visual effects would persist when a player teleported to a different area while consuming an item. [KUDOS-79]
  • Fixed an issue where mob sprites did not always despawn at the end of an area, causing ‘ghost’ enemies to appear on the client side when the game focus was lost. A heartbeat mechanism has been added to ensure proper cleanup of mobs. [TECH-8073]
  • Party-up zones in Virelda are now properly gated to ensure players cannot access them before completing the necessary quests. [DES-1629]
  • Resolved an issue where players with NFT emotes from the Season 0 collection could not access them in the emote wheel. [TECH-8064]
  • Resolved an issue where players were unable to claim commission credits awarded during the Chinese New Year event due to outdated in-game mail data structure. Players can now claim their rewards from their in-game mail. [TECH-8052, reported by ChadTom]
  • Fixed an issue where the exit portal did not appear in the Necromancer quest fight, causing players to be unable to leave the room after completing the fight. [TECH-8034]
  • Fixed an issue with the tooltip for growth time not displaying correctly during the second stage of the cabbage’s growth cycle after the first watering. [TECH-8113] User: 01JJCKXGFTNHXMYXHCC5TEFMAJ
  • Fixed an issue where certain relics, such as Elemental Damage L2-L8, Deployability Power L1-L7, and Deployable Haste L2-L8, were not functioning as intended. [GAME-3689]
  • Fixed an issue where the Add Friend feature did not function properly, preventing users from sending friend requests despite searching correctly. [TECH-8138]
  • Resolved issues with ability sound effects including Chain Lightning not triggering and Mini-gun Loop not stopping properly. These improvements enhance audio consistency during gameplay. [AUDIO-574]
  • Fixed an issue where the Lush Cave chest did not drop rewards and the exit portal did not appear. [TECH-8161] Submitted by MrSnorch.
  • Fixed an issue where potions and buffs did not increase the desired stat after consumption due to incorrect stat calculation handling. [QA-2312]
