Update Summary

This update brings a wealth of new functionality and refinements designed to enhance overall gameplay and user experience. Players will notice numerous improvements ranging from a more engaging combat experience, with enhanced audio and visual effects for abilities, to streamlined interactions in the store. The update introduces intuitive new features such as automated quest dialogue progression and more dynamic in-game item organization, making navigation and item management easier. Additionally, quality-of-life enhancements have been implemented across various gameplay elements—from real-time UI updates and improved stat descriptions to better handling of crafting and resource collection—all aimed at creating a smoother, more immersive experience. Alongside these new features, a series of bug fixes and balance adjustments have been applied to ensure reliable performance and refined game mechanics throughout.

Features

  • Enhanced audio effects for the ‘Fortify Shield’ ability, including new sounds for shield application, AOE loop, damage taken, and shield break, to make the trigger and shielded status more distinct. [AUDIO-975]
  • Updated the text in the abilities section of the player profile to say ‘Requires Ability Configurator’ and added a tooltip stating ‘Complete ‘Foundational Error’ to unlock Ability Configurator’ to provide clearer instructions for unlocking ability configuration. [TECH-10697]
  • Implemented an auto-continue feature for quest dialogues which automatically advances the text after a voice over finishes, removing the need for players to manually click through dialogues. [TECH-10633]
  • Introduced a new design for the ability bar, which now features a sleeker interface and clear cooldown indications. Abilities unlock visibly, with a new pop and glow animation when they come off cooldown. Button frames have been improved for better visibility, enhancing the player’s ability management experience. [TECH-10151]
  • Added the ability to progress dialogue boxes using key presses. Players can now use keys 1, 2, 3, and 4 to select dialogue options, enhancing interaction and ease of use during gameplay. [TECH-10745]
  • Foraging now works with just one click, similar to mining. Players can gather nodes in 3.5 seconds, with skilled players able to gather slightly faster using charging. New visual effects have been added to enhance the one-click action. [FEATURE-644]
  • Added the ability to view item stat tooltips from a distance in non-combat rooms within dungeons to facilitate interaction without needing to be within activation range. [TECH-10629]
  • Players will now experience immediate mob spawns upon entering dungeons. Mobs will no longer auto-aggro players upon spawn, reducing potential overwhelming situations and allowing better control over the initial encounter. Dungeon configurations allow some dungeons to maintain instant mob spawns while others retain normal spawn animations. [TECH-9763]
  • Introduced a smaller, non-fullscreen quest map and restored click-to-navigate functionality, allowing players to interact with the map more dynamically. [TECH-10611]
  • Added the ability to view dungeons on the world map, allowing players to open the Dungeon Finder by clicking on a dungeon marker. [TECH-9666]
  • Implemented new sound effects for the Spider (Orange) Jumping Bot, including alert, hit, death, footsteps, jump charge, jump, and landing sounds. [TECH-10696]

Improvements

  • Expanded the descriptions of in-game stats to provide more detailed and informative explanations for players, improving understanding of what each stat affects. Abbreviations such as CSC and CSO have also been clarified. [DES-2773]
  • Updated skills descriptions to be more engaging and informative, helping players make more informed choices when investing their experience points. [DES-2770]
  • Improved the health point (HP) energy offset update mechanism to trigger only upon HP relic selection and when entering or leaving a room, preventing unwanted HP resetting and enhancing user experience during dungeon transitions. [TECH-10461]

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Scrapclaw was missing a frame during its jump animation, causing it to appear as a small green projectile. [TECH-10777]
  • Fixed an issue where attempting to buy water at Wefco Mart would cause the selection to switch from Water x1 to Water x10 during purchase. [TECH-10746] Submitted by user 01JYT7A4V6FF7QJ5XK45YH70WY.
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Bag Full’ warning in the trade window remained even after the receiving player emptied their inventory, requiring the trade window to be closed and reopened to proceed. [TECH-10747]
  • Corrected a typo on the crafting window in all crafting stations where ‘Unavailable’ was previously misspelled as ‘Unavaialble’. [TECH-10742]
  • Fixed an issue where mounts and pets were visible during beacon and jeep animations, ensuring they become invisible as intended. [TECH-10773]
  • Fixed an issue where killing an enemy while it was spawning caused the floor effect to persist, due to the entity being alive before its animation played. [TECH-10254]
  • Resolved an issue where multiple Audio/SFX, such as melee attack swings, portal openings, and certain abilities, were missing throughout the game, enhancing the overall audio experience. [QA-2823]
  • Fixed an issue where players would be stuck on a black screen upon completing the tutorial, requiring them to abandon and respawn in front of the tent. [QA-2828]
  • Resolved an issue where certain cosmetics were not appearing in the store, ensuring all items are displayed correctly to players. [QA-2827]
  • Fixed a bug where players were not credited with Liquidity Keeper (LK) tokens after adding liquidity to the in-game Instant Exchange, blocking them from withdrawing or earning fees with their assets such as Sap and Moon Berry. [QA-2685]
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when rapidly pressing the ‘F’ key during the fishing minigame. The minigame now handles rapid key presses correctly, preventing unintended closures and crashes. [QA-2826] (Reported by user 01K24FPZFQGNWRK6061AFF6DY3)
  • Resolved an issue where players were unable to upgrade their Chemistry Station due to the ‘Burner’ attachment recipe no longer dropping. The ‘Burner’ recipe can now be purchased at the Yoku Forge for 2,000 coins, allowing progression for Chemistry Station upgrades. [QA-2730]
  • Fixed an issue in the ‘Beastly Balance’ quest where killing monsters did not update the quest progress, allowing players to now complete the quest as intended. [QA-2729]
  • Fixed an issue where crafting Raspberry Cake did not provide any cooking experience. Now, it correctly grants 1700 cooking EXP per cake. [QA-2683] Thanks to Arident for reporting this issue.
  • Fixed an issue in the tutorial where the anima sequence room displayed dungeon artifacts like the ability bar, impacting the user experience. These artifacts are no longer visible in the anima room. [QA-2829]
  • Fixed an issue in the tutorial potentially causing players to miss key quest events due to network instability. [QA-2753]
  • Fixed an issue where the Auction House UI did not update in real time, requiring players to close and reopen the UI to see changes. Now, players can refresh the UI without closing it and will receive notifications upon certain transactions. [QA-2740]
  • Fixed an issue where consumables became permanently unusable if attempted to be used while the game is paused in a dungeon. Consumables will now remain usable when the game is unpaused. [QA-2652]
  • Fixed an issue where pet sprites would sometimes freeze and remain in place if a player stayed in one area or tabbed out for an extended period. [QA-2675]
  • Corrected a typo in the ‘Toxic Messenger’ crafting recipe title. [QA-2722] Reported by user 01K0RCNVED50GNA64JG3X21PD2.
  • Fixed an issue where interacting with the dungeon portal during multiple level-up screens caused delayed ability selection screens to show only after subsequent level-ups. [QA-2771]
  • Fixed an issue where the pizza recipe displayed as ‘Recipe: recipe_pizza’ instead of the correct name in the kitchen station. [QA-2733] Reported by user 01K0RCNVED50GNA64JG3X21PD2.
