Dungeon combat has been drastically overhauled, encounters have been meticulously rebalanced, and we’ve crafted a smoother, more intuitive onboarding journey. You’ll discover new allies and adversaries alike, reimagined quests woven tightly into Virelda’s narrative, and general improvements across every corner of gameplay. - A new club in Arcadia has opened – Teshimi, home to new quests and future content[DES-1920]
- Get ready for an exciting Easter Egg Hunt event in Virelda, collect eggs and hand them in to the Easter Bunny outside the Homestead for some exclusive cosmetics. [DES-1776]
- Spectra can now be fought as a repeatable 6-player raid boss. You’ll need to find Lunar Keys from Tier 3 Rewards chests to be able to take her on. With the more difficult repeatable variant – you’ll find new necromancer themed craftable gear and resources. Players can now obtain ultra-rare robes, armor, and weapons. [DES-906]
- Implemented the first phase of new combat experiences:
- Virelda Arena – found to the North of Virelda.
- Virelda Caves – found to the North West of Virelda.
- Virelda Outskirts – accessed by completing a new quest ‘Guns for Hire’, started with Axle on the Eastern side of Virelda.
- Virelda’s Dune Drainers have been replaced by a more appropriately desert themed enemy faction:
- Introducing the Elite Cactaros, the new elite enemies in Virelda, featuring new challenging attack patterns such as melee punches, seed throws, and floor spikes for a dynamic combat experience. [TECH-8318]
- Introducing the Bionic Dragonfly, a new desert-themed enemy. The dragonfly features a scanning cone attack mechanism where players must evade a tracking cone or risk being targeted by a damaging projectile. [TECH-8299]
- Introducing Bionic Scorpions, a new swarming enemy type found in many of the desert dungeons. [TECH-8299]
- Introducing the Cactaro Swarmers, a new swarming enemy type found in many of the desert dungeons. [TECH-8299]
- Introduced the Sandrammer, a new desert-themed enemy found in many of the desert dungeons, which charges at players with significant force. [TECH-8298]

- Introduced a new ‘Ability Configurator’ tool which allows players to control whether abilities in dungeons are randomly selected or based on equipped abilities. This item can be equipped or unequipped, altering dungeon ability behaviour, and is unlocked via Major’s ‘Learning the Ropes’ quest. - Introduced new Easter Egg foraging nodes for the Virelda Easter Egg Hunt. [ART-3132]
- Added the new Tadpole pet, part of the Froggie monthly cosmetic set, including idle, moving, and unique idle animations in two color variants. [ART-3115]
- Updated the crafting recipe for the scarecrow in ‘Run Rabbit Run!’ to require 3x Wheat and 3x Fibre to better align it with its questline. [DES-1912]
- Re-introduced Bud, the seed vendor, to the homestead. Bud now sells a selection of seeds with daily personal restocks, contingent on farming level requirements. We’ll be monitoring and adjusting buds offerings closely. [DES-1909]
- Redesigned the tutorial quest to include an introductory cut-scene, a combat tutorial, and a final fight against Scrapclaw. [DES-1894]
- Farok will now provide sell services along with his existing item purchase capabilities. [DES-1875]
- Introduced a tag system within the abilities book to improve signposting of relationships between upgrades and abilities, giving clarity on primary categories such as deployable abilities, thrown, elemental, guns, and melee. This feature allows players to hover over abilities to view associated tags from the abilities book in the player profile. [DES-1851]
- Drop tables have been updated in all dungeons to better align with gear and character progression. [DES-1836]
- Blueprints have been reintroduced to the drop tables of dungeon chests, providing players with the opportunity to acquire new crafting recipes upon completing dungeons. [DES-1835]
- Cooking recipes have been updated to replace wheat with flour where appropriate, and a new recipe for creating flour has been added. [DES-1677]
- Implemented a new cooking progression system with updates to recipe counts, craft times, experience rates, sell values, and station progression. The changes aim to streamline the cooking progression and associated recipe system. [DES-1634]
- Introducing a new in-game vendor that operates using a premium currency available through Discord SKU purchases. This vendor, accessible via a button on the mini-map, enhances user experience by providing easy access to premium items and improving conversion rates of purchases. [TECH-7781]
- Implemented a feature that updates the UI to display gear loss across various combat experiences. The changes include adding a note about not losing cosmetics in the dungeon entry UI’s gear loss tooltip, incorporating gear loss into the abandon menu, and displaying bag/gear loss in non-tiered dungeon entry UIs. These adjustments aim to provide clarity and consistency to players regarding potential gear loss during gameplay. [TECH-8104]
- Removed the room selection timers in solo-play combat dungeons, allowing players to take as much time as needed between portal selections. [TECH-8534]
- Players will now see a detailed summary of items and experience given upon completing a quest, enhancing their understanding of rewards earned. [TECH-8032]
- Implemented four new elixir type consumables with unique buffs (Titan’s Elixir, Warlord’s Elixir, Sage’s Elixir, Phantom’s Elixir). Players can craft these elixirs at level 2 chemistry tables. Note that only one elixir buff can be active at a time, and consuming another will override the current buff.[DES-1857]
- Consolidated all tool crafting recipes into the overworld crafting bench in Arcadia. Players can now craft advanced tools at this location (locked behind their quest completion requirements), basic tools are available at Hector’s shop (Tammy vendor) if player’s lose them from their introductory tutorials. - Added an achievement for players when they unlock tier 3 dungeons upon completing the specified quest, enhancing clarity around dungeon progression. [DES-1551]
- Players can now click on incomplete quest tasks to view their specific locations on the map, enhancing navigation and quest management. [FEATURE-409]
- Added an attack indicator between laser duos in high roller rooms to signal where a laser is about to spawn, helping prevent unexpected damage. [TECH-8360]
- The Moonstone previously found in the Farpoint Rift cave chest has been moved. It can now be obtained with a 55% chance by breaking Chronoterra nodes during the ‘The Mysterious Moonstone’ quest. [DES-1924]
- Internal implementation of a new loot table framework, categorizing dungeon loot and defining chest types for upcoming content. [DES-1901]
Improvements
- Converted all existing chest drop tables into modular loot tables, making chest rewards more consistent and allowing for closer alignment with player progression. This will be monitored closely and adjustments made as necessary based on player feedback. [DES-1625]
- Chests in dungeons will now drop items on the floor instead of directly into players’ bags by default. Players can manually pick up items from the floor, allowing greater inventory control and interaction. [TECH-8616]
- Improved the treasure room experience by ensuring chests appear immediately upon entering the room. If the chest isn’t ready to be opened, players will receive a message: ‘You cannot open this chest right now. Please try again in a moment’. [TECH-8485]
- Improved tooltips on resource nodes to clearly indicate interaction ability with green for accessible and red for inaccessible nodes. This enhancement improves signposting and visualization. [TECH-8629]
- Improved the Dungeon Entry UI by removing the third tab when only two game modes are available. [TECH-8581]
- Improved the ‘Run Rabbit Run’ quest by providing players with clearer clues from Arthur on where to find quest materials and updated the quest rewards to include crafting and farming experience instead of oats seeds. [DES-1902]
- Reworked the Virelda tutorial quests for better player experience by fixing quest hang-ups, correcting item locations, and ensuring sufficient upgrade materials for starting weapons. [DES-1862]
- Improved player experience by enabling the bag, player profile, and skills UI during tutorial dungeons. [TECH-8540]
- Gems collected at the end of a dungeon round will no longer increase the player’s level if it is the final room, preventing unnecessary upgrades after completing the goals. [TECH-8460]
- The quest log now displays ‘No Active Quests’ or ‘No Active Contracts’ when the respective tabs are empty, providing clearer communication to prevent player confusion. [TECH-8063]
- Adjusted the level up relic choices to randomize upgrade order and increase the likelihood of being offered abilities, enhancing player experience by adding variety and choice. [TECH-8655]
- Improved VFX in certain effects such as Party-Up Zones and minigame hacking visuals. [TECH-8527]
- Updated portal spawn sounds with new theming and improved naming conventions. Players will experience enhanced audio effects when interacting with portals, including random portal hover loops upon activation. [GAME-3775]
- The ability cast mode is now saved between dungeon runs, ensuring players’ preferences are maintained. Legacy CAST MODE options from settings have been removed to prevent confusion, and ARPG elements that previously influenced the cast mode have been removed. [QA-2019]
- Overworld chests have been removed in preparation for incorporation into the new global distribution system.

- Fixed an issue where base damage upgrades were not applied correctly to certain abilities, ensuring all abilities receive the appropriate damage increase as intended. [TECH-8683]
- Resolved an issue where players were unable to complete the ‘Farpoint Rift’ quest due to missing NPCs after being teleported out of the ‘Foundation,’ resulting in an empty quest area. - Fixed an issue where enemies appeared to glide due to their animation speed not matching their movement speed. The move speed animation modifier is now used to ensure animations properly align with movement speed. [GAME-3832]

- Fixed an issue where Recall Disks could be used inside dungeons, which was not intended. [GAME-3841]
