Update 5.17 is stacked. New features, fresh content, major balance tweaks, and QoL upgrades—all setting the stage for the upcoming Auction House launch. Here’s what’s landing now:
Balance
Healing pulse and fortify have had significant reductions in effectiveness, more details in the balance section below.
Many offensive abilities have been buffed to promote a more active combat experience in dungeons, more details in the balance section below.
Apartment search:
The new apartment search feature allows users to search for items and teleport straight into apartments to craft them. There are still many improvements to be made – but we’re hoping that this is a great foundation for improving land accessibility across Soulbound.
Station UI:
We’ve uplifted the consumer-facing stations interface to make it easier for players to engage with stations and crafting. Fuelling stations is still cumbersome, that’ll be changing very soon along with the manager interface and the land builder tool.
Bank UI:
Bank tabs are here, the bank view is larger, and we’ve spent some time speeding up the bank operations generally. Bank tab icons and names can’t be customised yet but that’ll be coming shortly.
Item UX:
We’ve made some adjustments to how and when items are delivered to improve the overall UX of item acquisition. Items earned through contracts are now awarded in a consumable loot box, and all crafted items are sent directly to the mail if you don’t pick them up at the craft location.
Skilling pets:
A new set of pets have been added to global drop tables for all gathering skills.
Contracts rework:
There are now Pioneer’s Guild representatives at Farpoint Rift and Everdune. All contract tasks & rewards have been reworked to provide more useful materials to players and provide a wider range of tasks. Tier 3 contract rewards are also now available, and contain within them a selection of rare items such as Lunar Keys, recipes, accessories, and new Speed Board mounts.
The Levora Expedition:
A new set of quest lines have been added to Everdune, more details below.
